Join us for our 2020 Special Showcase Event and learn not only fundamental skills for interpreting in simultaneous mode, but also valuable information on how to keep on learning.
This 4-hour, online workshop is an intensive, hands-on, experiential learning session - designed for interpreters that work primarily in consecutive mode. Students will learn both theory and practice, as Evelyn takes you through a multi-layered process that will teach not only HOW but also WHY. Students will gain fundamental skills that will provide them with the ability to continue the learning process even after the workshop is over. Begin your journey to a new level of interpreting. Simultaneous mode of interpreting is being used more and more in all settings, especially in legal and courtroom sessions. Gain new skills and extend your work opportunities.
Students will receive a Certificate of Attendance signed by the instructor and the IL Director in addition to important links and information.

These 2-hour short-course sessions will build on core concepts and research methods in one of 3 areas, while facilitating ongoing, independent learning.
This spring we are offering a language specific session for Punjabi & Hindi speakers. This workshop will focus a broad array of terms from community, health and legal settings, with a focus on how to create self-directed learning outside of the classroom.
