ProD Series: June 17 – Special 2-hour Workshop – Consecutive Note-taking for Community Interpreters



Internationally known and recognized instructor – Katherine Allen will present on note-taking skills. Not just for conference and legal interpreters practicing long consecutive, the appropriate use of notes can greatly enhance an interpreter’s performance in any dialogic setting. The trick is learning when and how to take notes to facilitate better communication.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the role of consecutive note-taking in educational settings.
  2. Practice Rozan’s 7 steps for consecutive note-taking.
  3. Develop symbols and abbreviations for consecutive note-taking.
